The Buttercup Cottage is located in our purpose-built building at the top of our garden. Here our wonderful team care for children aged 3 months to two years with a ratio of one adult to three children with a warm, fun and caring approach.
Throughout the day there are fun, planned and child led play and activities, with lots of opportunities to get creative with painting, play dough and “texture” play etc, all children are encouraged to try new experiences. The Buttercup Cottage has its own fenced garden, as well as access to the larger garden. The children go outside daily in all weathers to play and explore, slide and dig, run and shout, scoot and ride. A good waterproof coat and trousers are an essential tool!
The team will be happy to share your child’s busy day of activities and antics, their sleeping times, toileting and what they have enjoyed for lunch and tea. There is also a Parent Board detailing up and coming events, the weeks menu, newsletters and other information, such as posters from Ofsted and local businesses.
Children are welcome to bring in their favourite cuddly toy or comforter. Our team will do their best to look after these special comforters, but we encourage parents to name the item (s) and to always have a spare at home!
We provide real nappies, baby wipes, cotton wool and creams, equipment and toys. Babies’ bottles and teats need to be provided by parents. (We do keep a supply for emergencies)
