The Government announced earlier this week that tax relief for childcare will be extended to self-employed as well as employed parents from April 2015. The amount of tax relief available per child will increase substantially. The new scheme will provide basic rate tax relief on up to £6,000 of childcare per child, providing both parents are working and their earnings do not exceed £150,000 each.

The Buttercups and The Bluebells have been taking part in many fun filled activities today in aid of all things Red for Comic Relief!, we have made “Red nose biscuits”, had our faces painted with spots and made our own glittery red noses.
The goverment has announced that because nursery/childminders ratios are tighter in England than most of Europe they have proposed to allow nurseries and childminders to increase the adult:child ratio. This would make childcare more affordable but may compromise quality of care.
We would like to congratulate Tracey and Ian on their nuptials in September. Tracey is currently on her honeymoon and we will welcome Mrs Tracey Atkinson back to work mid October.

Sue French joined the nursery in 1996 and worked for 6 years with the babies.
